◆ 평가 선정 성과

충남 서산시가 충남도 주관 '2025년 지역자살예방사업 평가'에서 우수기관으로 선정됐다. 충남도는 도내 15개 시군을 대상으로 자살고위험군 등록관리, 자살자 수 감소 비율, 특화사업 운영 등 7개 중점지표로 평가를 진행했다. 서산시는 자살예방 사업 실적과 차별화된 특화사업 추진으로 높은 점수를 획득했다.

◆ 지역사회 통합 안전망 구축

서산시는 올해 자살 예방 환경 조성을 위해 생명존중 안심마을 5개소를 지정하고 관내 48개 기관과 업무협약을 체결했다. 생명존중 안심마을은 우울·스트레스 선별검사, 상담 안내, 생명존중 캠페인 등 주민과 기관이 함께 추진하는 지역사회 통합 안전망이다. 찾아가는 이동상담실 '마음 안심 버스'를 취약계층 밀집 구역에서 운영하고 우울 고위험군 대상 맞춤형 특화사업을 진행했다.

◆ 직장·중장년층 정신건강 지원 강화

서산시는 마음봄 사업장 15개소를 운영하며 근로자 및 중장년층을 대상으로 정신 건강검진과 자살 예방 교육을 지원했다. 이완섭 서산시장은 "앞으로도 시민의 생명을 지킬 수 있는 다양한 시책 마련에 최선을 다하겠다"라고 말했다.

Seosan City received high scores through excellent suicide prevention project performance and differentiated specialized projects.

◆ Establishment of Community-Integrated Safety Network

Seosan City designated five Life-Respecting Safe Villages this year and signed business agreements with 48 institutions within the city to create a suicide prevention environment. Life-Respecting Safe Villages serve as community-integrated safety networks where residents and institutions jointly conduct screening tests for depression and stress, counseling guidance, and life-respecting campaigns. The city operated a mobile counseling service called 'Peace of Mind Bus' in areas densely populated with vulnerable groups and implemented customized specialized projects targeting high-risk depression groups.

◆ Strengthened Mental Health Support for Workplace and Middle-Aged Adults

Seosan City operated 15 Maeum-Bom (Mind Spring) workplaces, providing mental health checkups and suicide prevention education to workers and middle-aged adults. Mayor Yi Wan-sup stated, "Going forward, I will do my best to implement various policies that can protect citizens' lives."
