◆ 이장우 시장, 신규 산단 4곳 최초 공개
이장우 대전시장은 4일 시정 브리핑에서 신규 산업단지 4곳을 최초 공개했다. 대전시는 2030년까지 총 22개소, 535만 평 규모 산업단지를 조성한다. 현재 13개소 305만 평 사업이 진행 중이다. 이번 발표로 신규 산단 48만 평이 추가되어 총 353만 평 조성을 추진한다.
신규 산업단지 예정지는 유성구 대동지구 30만 평, 유성JC 일원 송림지구 7만 평, 동구 대별지구 7만 평, 대덕구 신일지구 4만 평이다.
◆ 원촌 첨단바이오 메디컬 혁신지구 20만 평 확장
원촌 첨단바이오 메디컬 혁신지구는 유성구 원촌동 하수처리장 이전 부지를 활용한다. 당초 12만 평 규모였으나 서측 낙후 지역을 포함해 20만 평으로 확장한다. 확장 구역에는 주거와 문화·생활시설을 배치한다. 기존 부지는 산업·연구 기능 중심 바이오 핵심 거점으로 조성한다.
이 시장은 "원촌 지구는 2024년 기회발전특구 및 국가첨단전략산업 바이오 특화단지로 선정됐다"며 "카이스트-머크 공동 R&D센터, 암정복 실증병원, 지식산업센터 등 핵심 인프라를 배치하겠다"고 밝혔다.
◆ 신규 산단별 특화 산업 배치
대동지구는 핵과학·핵융합·양자 등 안보 기술 중심 첨단산업단지로 조성한다. 진입도로 1.13km 4차로 개설도 병행한다. 송림지구는 하기지구·안산 국방산업단지와 연계해 국방·우주·항공 산업을 육성한다. 대별지구는 남대전 종합물류단지와 연계해 제조산업과 지식정보서비스 산업을 배치한다. 신일지구는 국방기술품질원과 연계해 국방과학 연구 성과 실증 및 소부장 제조 산업단지로 조성한다.
대전시는 신규 산단 조성 완료 시 생산유발효과 3,972억 원, 부가가치유발효과 1,736억 원, 고용유발효과 2,915명을 예상했다. 시는 5개 지구 68만 평에 대해 개발행위허가를 제한한다.
이 시장은 "2027년까지 5개소 101만 평, 2030년까지 17개소 434만 평 신규 산단을 순차 조성하겠다"고 말했다.

The Wonchon Advanced Bio-Medical Innovation District utilizes the relocated sewage treatment plant site in Wonchon-dong, Yuseong-gu. The plan expanded from the original 120,000 pyeong to 200,000 pyeong, including the underdeveloped western area. The expanded zone will include residential and cultural facilities. The original site will become a bio-industry core hub focused on industrial and research functions.
Mayor Lee stated, "Wonchon District was designated as an Opportunity Development Special Zone and National Advanced Strategic Industry Bio Specialized Complex in 2024. We will establish key infrastructure including the KAIST-Merck Joint R&D Center, Cancer Conquest Demonstration Hospital, and Knowledge Industry Center."
◆ Specialized Industries Assigned to Each New Complex
Daedong District will become an advanced industrial complex focused on nuclear science, fusion, and quantum security technologies. A 1.13km four-lane access road will also be constructed. Songnim District will foster defense, aerospace, and aviation industries in connection with Hagi District and Ansan Defense Industrial Complex. Daebyeol District will host manufacturing and knowledge information service industries linked to the South Daejeon Comprehensive Logistics Complex. Sinil District will develop defense science research demonstration and materials-parts-equipment manufacturing in connection with the Defense Agency for Technology and Quality.
Daejeon City projects the new complexes will generate 397.2 billion won in production inducement, 173.6 billion won in value-added inducement, and 2,915 jobs. The city restricts development permits for five districts covering 680,000 pyeong.
Mayor Lee said, "We will sequentially develop 5 complexes covering 1.01 million pyeong by 2027 and 17 complexes covering 4.34 million pyeong by 2030."
