◆ 안면읍 중규모 LPG 배관망 준공식 개최

태안군은 3일 안면읍 승언리에서 '안면읍 중규모 LPG 배관망 구축 사업 준공식'을 개최했다고 밝혔다. 이날 준공식에는 가세로 군수와 군의원, 기관·단체장, 지역주민 등 50여 명이 참석했다. 산업통상자원부의 중규모 LPG 배관망 구축 사업은 도시가스 미공급 지역의 읍면 단위 소재지권 중심지역에 LPG 저장시설과 배관망을 구축·지원하는 사업이다.

◆ 총 사업비 74억9300만원 투입…배관 11km 설치

태안군은 도시가스가 공급되지 않는 에너지 취약지역인 안면읍 승언1리 마을을 대상지로 정하고 사업을 추진해왔다. 태안군은 2019년 산업통상자원부 공모에 선정돼 국비를 확보하고 태안군-충남도-한국LPG사업관리원 간 업무협약과 설계 등 절차를 거쳐 올해 초 착공했다. 국비 37억여 원 포함 총 사업비 74억9300만 원이 투입됐다. 태안군은 2.45톤(2기) LPG 저장탱크 3개소와 개별저장탱크 2개소, 총 11.071km의 지하매설 배관 설치를 모두 완료했다.

◆ 이달 말 548세대 LPG 공급 시작

현재 총 548세대에 대한 가스보일러 설치가 순차적으로 진행 중이다. 이달 말이면 전 세대에 LPG 연료 공급이 시작될 예정이다. LPG 저장탱크 및 배관망 방식의 집단공급은 기존 LPG 용기 개별 배송공급과 달리 가스요금이 30~40% 가량 절감된다. 가스사고 예방 효과로 안전성도 향상된다. 군 관계자는 "고무호스를 금속배관으로 교체하고 가스누설검지기와 긴급차단장치를 설치하는 등 안전성을 대폭 강화하는 데 초점을 뒀다"고 말했다. 이어 "사업이 성공적으로 마무리될 수 있도록 도와주신 마을 주민 및 사업 관계자 여러분께 감사드리고 앞으로도 지속가능한 에너지 미래의 토대를 만들어갈 수 있도록 노력하겠다"고 밝혔다.

Taean-gun was selected in the 2019 Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy public offering to secure state funds and began construction early this year after going through procedures including a business agreement between Taean-gun, Chungnam Province, and the Korea LPG Business Management Agency and design work. A total project cost of 7.493 billion won was invested including about 3.7 billion won in state funds. Taean-gun completed the installation of three 2.45-ton (2 units) LPG storage tanks, two individual storage tanks, and a total of 11.071km of underground pipes.

◆ LPG Supply to 548 Households to Begin at End of This Month

Gas boiler installation for a total of 548 households is currently underway sequentially. LPG fuel supply to all households is scheduled to begin at the end of this month. Unlike individual delivery supply of existing LPG containers, collective supply through LPG storage tanks and pipeline networks reduces gas bills by about 30-40%. Safety is also improved through gas accident prevention effects. A county official said, "We focused on significantly strengthening safety by replacing rubber hoses with metal pipes and installing gas leak detectors and emergency shutoff devices." The official added, "We thank the village residents and project officials who helped the project be successfully completed, and we will continue to work to build the foundation for a sustainable energy future."
